Owner/ Director Dawn Felton:

*Dawn has been the owner/director of The Learning Garden Christian Child Care at both the Medina and the Seville locations for over 23years. She holds a Masters Degree in Elementary Education-Curriculum Development. Dawn and her husband Jon, have raised her 4 children through her programs at The Learning Garden which gives them a unique understanding of what parents are looking for in quality care.
During the pandemic, they were able to keep the centers going and assist as a state of Ohio pandemic site for essential workers. As re-opening to full capacity took place at both locations it became exciting to Dawn to envision selling her Medina location to fully focus on the children, families and amazing staff here in Seville. As this transition process began, the staff started their training on culture development and it was decided -a complete rebrand would give the final touches to completely renew the energy and elevate the care offered..... and Rise Up & Shine Christian Child Care was born! Same amazing staff and classroom development, with a focus and energy renewed!

CHRISTIAN CURRICULUM
​
In addition to our Multiple Intelligence curriculum from 6 weeks through our Summer Camp program, we integrate our Christian Curriculum. We are not affiliated with any specific church or denomination, however learn bible stories and all about the importance of Christmas and Easter holidays. The children pray before eating and know they are loved and hear to serve others. We back this concept by engaging in several community based service activities throughout the year. As part of our Preschool curriculum, the children learn to say The Pledge of Allegiance and during their Pre-K year The Lord's Prayer.

Our key coded system allows parents access while keeping anyone else from entering past our lobby unless escorted by a staff member. All outside doors with alarms and each classroom has their own intercom/telephone
All of our classrooms have commercial Air Purification Systems to assist in the health of our children and our staff!

Our Trained Staff
We have several of our lead teacher with degrees in Early Childhood Education. All staff members hold their certificates in First Aid/ CPR, Communicable Disease and a minimum of 10 hour per year of child development training.

Ms. Vicki
Ms. Vicki has been with us for 23 years. She has been a teacher in every room which gives her a perfect understanding of the needs in each area to best assist the teachers and families! You can find Ms. Vicki in our office or up and down the hallways ready to serve anywhere needed!
Ms. Mandi
Ms. Mandi has been with us for 24 years She has been a teacher in every room. She is creative and passionate about going the extra mile to make everything
just right! She now serves as our cook and in the summer time heads up our School Age Summer Camp program!
Ms. Ashley
Ms. Ashley has been with us for 20 years and specializes as our Lead Toddler teacher by day and in the evening, she will bless your presence as our office assistant. Quick to serve and ensure a smooth transition while leaving each night
